About the Role
We're looking for someone who can confidently step into an established production environment and become a key member of our bread team.
After an initial training and induction period, you'll be trusted to work independently, maintain our production standards and contribute to the continued development of our bread department.
You'll also work closely with apprentices and developing bakers, helping foster a positive learning environment while leading by example through your professionalism, organisation and attention to detail.
We're looking for someone who:
Has solid commercial bread baking experience.
Has experience with naturally leavened sourdough (highly regarded).
Takes genuine pride in producing consistently high-quality products.
Is reliable, organised and able to work efficiently in a production environment.
Can confidently work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
Communicates well and enjoys sharing knowledge with junior team members.
Embraces technology and is comfortable using systems such as Google Sheets, production schedules and digital documentation.
Enjoys learning, improving and helping others grow.
Wants to contribute to a business that is continually evolving and improving.
Essential Requirements
Commercial bread baking experience.
Relevant baking qualification or equivalent industry experience.
Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP and safe work practices.
Ability to work afternoon and night shifts.
Weekend availability (minimum one weekend day).
Physically capable of working in a fast-paced bakery environment.
Ability to follow production systems and written procedures with a high level of accuracy.
Experience Highly Regarded
Naturally leavened sourdough production.
Dough development and fermentation management.
Hand moulding and shaping techniques.
Deck oven operation.
Production planning and workflow management.
Maintaining consistency across large production runs.

You’ll work closely with our Front of House team and contribute to an environment where people genuinely enjoy coming to work.
