  • Item descriptionThe Prethink Group Finance Manager will be responsible for finance across the group’s hospitality and property businesses and investments.

    To achieve this task they will lead, develop and manage a small team and report directly to the Prethink Group Managing Director as well as the group’s Chief Operating Officer.

    The role is a part-time role with working hours and days to be negotiated. Full-time hours may also be negotiated, although there is flexibility within the current team to support a part-time role.

    Work will be conducted from the Prethink Group head office in Toowoomba City.

    The successful application will be someone who is looking to take full ownership of the Finance Manager role within Prethink Group. They will work well in a team and demonstrate proven leadership qualities. They will also have exceptional organisation skills and be able to deliver on tasks independently.

    It is anticipated that the successful applicant will have accounting qualifications and/or significant financial management experience.

    The Finance Manager, together with their team, will be responsible for:

    Cash & Financial Management

    • Cash flow management & forecasting

    • Payment processing (AP, payroll, expenses)

    • Bank, credit card & loan reconciliations

    Reporting & Analysis

    • Monthly P&L and balance sheet reporting

    • Management reporting & business insights

    • Budgeting & variance analysis

    • Financial modelling & forecasting

    • Pricing and margin analysis

    Compliance & Governance

    • Payroll & employment compliance

    • BAS/IAS and statutory lodgements

    • Superannuation, payroll tax & WorkCover

    • Income tax provisions

    • Governance and regulatory compliance

    Operations & Systems

    • Financial systems management (Xero, Tanda, POS)

    • AI automation & process improvement

    • Fixed asset management

    Transactions & Controls

    • Accounts payable & receivable

    • Payroll & contractor payments

    • Corporate card & expense management

    • Supplier management & bank verification

    Group & Structural

    • Inter-entity transactions, charges & reconciliations

    • Clearing inter-company/suspense accounts

    Strategic & Commercial

    • Investment and feasibility modelling

    • Supplier/contract financial review

    • Accountant relationship management (with MD).
